Nicholas Haywood and the Priory of Scion

The Priory of Scion is a society located mainly in France that people say that they have the mummified bodies of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. I don't know if I believe all of that. I really can't with the evidence I have but this guy's interview is really really amazing. He is quite believable considering the claims he's making.

And then there's this clip of him talking about the coming Apocalypse.

Consider the possibility that the Priory of Sion, as such, does not really exist, but is in fact merely a front for a deeper, shadowy group with a hidden purpose.

The main effect of the Priory of Sion has been to introduce the meme that Jesus had children, and that they know who those children are. Why would they wish to do that? The answer's pretty obvious, if you think about it: political reasons.

The Priory has been around since at least the 1960s, when it made is appearance as a secret organization that was leaving a trail of clues inside French libraries, clues which were later followed by people whose research would form the basis for the da Vinci code. Obviously they're a group able to take a long-term view of things.

So. Introduce the idea that Jesus' bloodline is extant. It starts as hearsay, rumor, half-baked and half-mad theories and speculations that spread throughout society, under the radar as it were because it is not presenting itself as fact. Decades pass; the idea spreads. Some are convinced of its truth, most are merely aware of the idea, but in the end awareness by itself is enough for Their aims.

One day, in the midst of great chaos and change, a Leader is chosen. He is presented to the people as the Last Best Hope for Peace; he has the full backing of the world's financial community, has the armies at his beck and call, and legions of supporters. Oh, yes, and did I mention? 'Proof' will be found that this man is the descendant of Jesus. So don't worry, he's one of the Good Guys. /end sarcasm.

On another note, I love how you had exactly 11 posts for September. Was that on purpose?
